Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Higher Education Committee and Taskforces. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in higher education, with experience in policy advocacy, project management, and stakeholder engagement.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can develop thought leadership papers, reports, and articles on key areas of higher education. The individual must be able to interface regularly with regulatory bodies, the Ministry of Education, and other stakeholders to develop reports and inputs.

  • Thought Leadership/Policy Advocacy work in Higher Education:
    • Collaborate with committee leadership to identify key areas for research and development.
    • Develop partnerships with universities and other stakeholders to advance the higher education sector.
  • FICCI Higher Education Committee & Taskforces:
    • Facilitate regular committee meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
    • Develop and implement strategies for addressing specific sectoral issues.
    • Build relationships with university leaders and other stakeholders to drive growth and development.
  • Higher Education Summit (HES):
    • Organize and manage the annual global FICCI Higher Education Summit.
    • Design the conference program and identify national and international partners.
    • Manage masterclasses, workshops, and focused interactions between industry and academic leaders.
  • Projects:
    • Identify and execute projects that promote industry-academia engagement.
    • Develop capacity building programs for faculty and higher education leadership.
    • Pursue opportunities with the World Bank and other global agencies to explore joint projects.
  • Reports/Recommendations:
    • Monitor government announcements and provide inputs/recommendations to inform decision-making.
    • Work with the Knowledge Partner to provide information through secondary research.
  • FICCI Eduwrap:
    • Compile relevant news items/articles for the bi-monthly sectoral newsletter.
    • Identify and mobilize potential partners for advertisements.
