Job Overview

MII Foundation seeks a visionary leader to drive its incubation program forward. As Chief Executive Officer, you will develop the strategic roadmap of the incubation center and ensure alignment with government policies, startup ecosystem goals, and institutional/academic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership & Vision
    • Develop a comprehensive business strategy aligned with the company's not-for-profit objectives.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and sustainable growth.
    • Prioritize sector-specific focus areas (e.g., tech, healthcare, agritech, social enterprises).
  • Incubation Program Development & Management
    • Design and execute innovative incubation, acceleration, and pre-incubation programs.
    • Establish a robust pipeline of high-potential startups and entrepreneurs.
    • Provide expert guidance, capacity-building workshops, and networking opportunities.
    • Set measurable KPIs for startups (funding raised, jobs created, market traction).
  • Financial Sustainability & Fundraising
    • Cultivate strategic partnerships to mobilize resources through CSR collaborations, government grants, international agencies, and institutional support.
    • Develop diverse revenue streams (program fees, equity stakes, consulting services, sponsored projects) while adhering to regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure cost-effective operations and financial stability.
  • Partnerships & Ecosystem Development
    • Nurture relationships with corporates, investors (VCs/angels), academic institutions, and government bodies.
    • Establish mutually beneficial Memoranda of Understanding with ecosystem enablers (accelerators, incubators, R&D labs).
    • Foster international connections for global exposure of incubated startups.
  • Compliance & Governance
    • Ensure statutory compliance under relevant laws (Income Tax, CSR provisions, FCRA if applicable).
    • Regularly report to the Board of Directors/Advisory Council.
    • Implement transparency, accountability, and governance best practices.
  • Monitoring & Impact Assessment
    • Track performance metrics of incubated startups (funding raised, patents filed, products launched, revenues generated).
    • Publish annual reports highlighting impact in terms of employment, innovation, and social contribution.
    • Drive outcome-based evaluations for continuous improvement.
  • Branding, Outreach & Advocacy
    • Position the organization as a leading ecosystem enabler.
    • Promote incubated startups through media, events, and demo days.
    • Represent the organization at industry forums, policy discussions, and global conferences.
  • Innovation & Technology Enablement
    • Establish cutting-edge labs, prototyping facilities, co-working infrastructure.
    • Encourage adoption of emerging technologies (AI, IoT, biotech, green tech).
    • Facilitate IP creation and technology transfer.
  • Long-Term Sustainability & Legacy Creation
    • Build a model that ensures continuity beyond initial funding—ensuring resilience and sustainability.
    • Develop an alumni network of successful startups to contribute back to the ecosystem.
    • Contribute to national priorities (Startup India, Digital India, Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • MBA
  • 10+ years' experience in business-related field
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills
