Audit Manager Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Audit Manager to lead large audit teams across multiple verticals and timelines, ensuring audits close with accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

The ideal candidate will possess battle-tested technical skills, strong legal acumen, and excellent communication abilities. They will be responsible for end-to-end audit execution, multi-team management, and client relationships.

This role requires a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 4-6 years of statutory audit experience, preferably in audit firms. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of independently closing audits without supervision and must be able to handle multiple teams and their team leads simultaneously.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead statutory audits independently from planning through final reporting including management discussions.
  • Handle multiple teams & their teams under multiple team leads; responsible for staffing, training, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure alignment with Ind AS, IGAAP, and auditing standards (SA 200 series onwards).
  • Work closely with tax, finance, and legal teams to identify control gaps and compliance issues.
  • Owning client relationships; act as the single point of contact for escalations, walkthroughs, and closure.
  • Apply risk assessment methodology to focus audit effort on high-impact areas.
  • Strong understanding of Companies Act, Income Tax Act, SEBI regulations, CARO, IFC, CSR compliance, and other applicable laws.
  • Leverage audit tools, checklists, and digital documentation systems to improve turnaround time and accuracy.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 4-6 years of statutory audit experience, preferably in audit firms.
  • Must have a proven track record of independently closing audits without supervision.
  • Experience managing multiple teams leads and audit teams simultaneously.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ind AS, IGAAP, SA standards, and financial statement preparation & review.
  • Working knowledge of Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST, and other allied laws.
  • High accountability, thrives under pressure, and delivers audits on time—every time.
  • Strong articulation for client presentations, board reporting, and team guidance.
