Job Overview

The Team Lead role entails overseeing daily operations within an Audit & Assurance department, ensuring timely communication with clients, quality review of work, team discipline and knowledge transfer.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure regular updates on project status and timely reporting to clients.
  • Review team outputs (workings, audit reports and certifications) and maintain structured documentation.
  • Track and consolidate daily work submissions from project leaders.
  • Organize learning initiatives and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Facilitate daily team meetings and periodic discussions with directors or senior managers.
  • Cascade training received from senior management to project leaders.
  • Mentor team members to achieve performance benchmarks and maximize output.
  • Maintain discipline and professionalism at client sites.
  • Present project observations to senior management on a monthly basis.
  • Identify and develop potential leaders across various projects.
  • Establish regular internal project backups for smooth handovers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Competencies

  • Strong understanding of audit and assurance standards and processes.
  • Expertise in reviewing and analyzing audit work papers.
  • Familiarity with MIS reporting, compliance requirements and documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
