Product Strategy and Roadmap Leadership

Alstom is seeking a highly skilled Product Strategy and Roadmap Leader to join our team. As a key member of our product development organization, you will be responsible for governing product strategy and roadmap, driving ownership and product lifecycle management, and ensuring product safety culture during development and validation phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps that align with market trends and solution expectations
  • Drive product lifecycle management, including product introduction, growth, and end-of-life phases
  • Collaborate with product managers, solution directors, and product architects to ensure product alignment with product life cycle policy
  • Communicate progress against product roadmaps and keep stakeholders informed of updates through product category reviews
  • Manage product total cost and related competitiveness actions with all métier involved
  • Develop and implement strategies for product phase-in and phasing-out plans, as well as recurrent development and sustaining cost improvement plans
  • Manage obsolescence risk and corresponding business case decision-making
  • Ensure product data information management, including catalogue, datasheet, and user manual governance
  • Collaborate with product managers to ensure product quality and performance, including change management and impact analysis, root cause analysis, and safety status review
  • Support final customer demo, pre-tendering, and maintainability activities as needed
  • Collaborate with solution directors, global demand, and supply chain to provide volume forecasting and product internal training

Requirements:

  • 18+ years of experience in engineering/R&D organization, involved in end-to-end software product development
  • Strong engineering and processes background
  • Good knowledge of product management concepts
  • Good knowledge of SIL applications/software development
  • Performance management experience, driving teams to achieve consistency in product performance, product total cost, obsolescence KPI, and system/product compliance to committed safety requirements
