Technical Accounting Senior Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Accounting Senior Manager to join our team. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical accounting services to our clients, including complex financial reporting issues, finance software implementation, and automation.

You will interact with clients directly, work independently, and collaborate with a diverse group of talented professionals. Your responsibilities will include leading crucial meetings with clients, coaching and mentoring junior staff, reviewing work, engagement and project management, and providing excellent timely client service.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to add value to our clients by assisting in detailed revenue analysis, equity matters, draft or review complex financial statements, SEC reporting, identification and application of technical accounting guidance, and global accounting activities.

To succeed in this position, you must have a strong technical accounting background, experience managing teams and owning their work product, and a Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent. You should also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to act and lead as the client contact.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Rated top 25% of Big Four class, CPA license preferred
  • 7+ years of public accounting and industry experience required (minimum of 3 years in public accounting)
  • 3 or more years of prior experience managing teams and owning their work product
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent required
  • Experience and familiarity with broad range of industries including those such as tech, biotech, and life sciences
  • Professional and personable demeanor
  • Passion for helping clients with a strong interest in technical accounting
  • Hard working, disciplined, detail oriented, and ability to motivate engagement teams
  • Experience writing complex technical accounting position papers
  • Proven solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Aptitude for technical accounting research and self-education, desire to learn and be an expert
  • Ability to act and lead as the client contact Knowledge of IFRS or other international accounting standards a plus
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills
