IT Governance Specialist

A reputable organization seeks an IT Governance Specialist to implement risk management and security measures. As part of the GRC Implementation team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing effective governance systems.

  1. Develop and implement strategies to reduce technology risks and improve compliance with policies and external regulations.
  2. Evaluate business and IT risks, identifying areas for improvement and developing mitigation plans.
  3. Design and implement information security standards, procedures, and controls to manage risks and protect client data.
  4. Evaluate information security threats and their impact on clients' IT environment, recommending remediation actions.
  5. Support senior team members in analyzing requirements and designing information security postures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  6. Deliver work streams for clients in compliance standards such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, EU GDPR, and Bahrain PDPL, and incident management disciplines.
  7. Perform internal and external information security risk assessments, investigating control failures and gaps, and providing remediation guidance.
  8. Stay current on best practices and technological advancements, serving as a technical resource for security assessment and regulatory compliance.

Key qualifications include:

  • 3-5 years experience in IT Governance, Risk & Compliance.
  • Understanding of ISO 27001, PCI DSS, ITIL, ITSM, and COBIT standards.
  • Experience with risk management principles and associated methodologies.
  • Ideal candidate will have CEH, CISSP, CISA, or CISM qualification.
  • Proven ability to make sound pragmatic decisions and judgments under tight timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with ability to drive change collaboratively.
