Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain our modern data platform. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and passion for data engineering to drive business growth and innovation.

  • Design and implement efficient ETL/ELT pipelines and data flows to meet business requirements.
  • Develop transformation models using dbt and orchestrate pipelines via Airflow to ensure seamless data processing.
  • Optimize large-scale processing jobs in Apache Spark to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Tune and manage relational and analytical databases to ensure optimal data storage and retrieval.
  • Architect and maintain schemas using Star Schema and 3NF methodologies to support scalable data infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement lakehouse architectures and scalable storage solutions to support big data analytics.
  • Enforce data governance, validation, and quality control mechanisms to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Maintain DevOps standards using CI/CD, GitFlow, and containerization tools to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of data platforms.

Requirements:

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and ETL/ELT design principles.
  • Strong experience with dbt, Airflow, and Spark to design and implement efficient data pipelines.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling techniques to architect scalable data infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to optimize and tune databases for performance and efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms to design and deploy scalable data infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with IaC tools and DevOps best practices to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of data platforms.
