Job Opportunity:

The Responsible Mica Initiative is seeking a highly motivated professional for the role of Workplace Standards Specialist. This position will play a crucial part in strengthening sustainability practices within India's supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct gap assessments and create corrective action plans to align mica processors and mines with RMI's Global Workplace Standard (GWS).
  • Collaborate with processors and mine owners to implement those plans, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with RMI workplace and due diligence standards.
  • Coordinate collective third-party audit protocols for RMI members.
  • Develop training content on RMI standards and deliver online or face-to-face training sessions for auditors.
  • Analyze data from audit reports and present findings to the team and members.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in International Development, Business, Engineer/Mining, or Social Auditing is required. Additionally, demonstrated experience in supply chain social and environmental auditing and sustainability standards is necessary.
  • Highly developed analytical capabilities, problem-solving skills, and fluency in English and Hindi are essential for this role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for driving social change are also required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Regular updates on RMI's progress and planned activities will be shared with local district governmental officers/authorities.
