Procurement Senior Executive Role Overview

The Procurement Senior Executive plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth procurement of critical materials, driving cost efficiency, and maintaining supplier performance. This pivotal role requires a highly motivated and results-driven individual to source and procure raw materials, components, consumables, and tooling for manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Raise and monitor purchase orders based on production schedules and inventory levels.
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers.
  • Track market trends and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Coordinate with production, stores, quality, and finance teams to ensure end-to-end procurement alignment.
  • Maintain documentation for audits, vendor evaluations, and management reporting.
  • Assist in new product development (NPD) sourcing activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Master's degree in Operations Management or related field.
  • Experience:
  • 3–4 years of hands-on procurement experience in an automotive ancillary or Tier 1 supplier environment.
  • Skills:
  • Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with automotive standards and documentation.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
