Job Title: Strategic Procurement Professional

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our procurement strategy and manage the end-to-end commercial and contractual aspects within the IT spend category.

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining successful relationships with suppliers, peers, and internal business partners.

A key part of the role includes managing senior stakeholders and establishing relationships, advising internal business partners on the procurement process, policies, and templates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end commercial and procurement aspects within all IT categories like Hardware, Software, Outsourcing Services, Cloud and SAAS.
  • Ensure proper spend categorization, lead and execute strategic/tactical projects, and draft detailed statements of work covering performance measures, KPIs/metrics, SLAs, acceptance criteria, commercials, risk/reward provisions, etc.
  • Manage supplier base, pursue alternative sources, and ensure uninterrupted supply of services delivered in a cost-effective and quality manner.
  • Conduct periodic market research, monitor market trends and supply/demand factors, and help in decision-making to meet strategic goals.
  • Establish regular communications with internal business partners, maintain strong client service, and lead proactive contract renewal/expiry reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience in sourcing or procurement.
  • Significant experience of procurement/sourcing and contracting for Cloud Services.
  • Understanding of analyzing a category cost structure.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Experience or good understanding of electronic procurement/sourcing tools.
  • Strong understanding of Source/Procure-to-Pay processes and tools.
  • Experience working within a compliance and regulatory culture, driving policies and procedures both internally and externally.
  • Strong risk and control culture and understanding of Supplier Screening programs.
  • Strong presentation skills, including Excel pivot tables and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to extract detailed procurement requirements from internal business stakeholders and translate business requirements into contract language.
  • Collaborative style, including navigating matrix organizational responsibilities, organizational change, and working across global regions, time zones, and teams.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Engineering Graduate.
