Procurement Strategy Leader

This senior procurement role is responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies to drive business growth, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.

The Procurement Strategy Leader will lead a team of procurement professionals in identifying and mitigating risks associated with international trade, managing supplier relationships, and negotiating complex contracts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Global Sourcing Strategies
    • Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies to meet organizational needs.
    • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers worldwide to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and reliable supply.
    • Negotiate contracts with domestic and international vendors to achieve optimal pricing and delivery terms.
  • Supplier Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality control, and ongoing performance improvement.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align purchasing activities with business objectives and inventory requirements.
    • Monitor supplier performance using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and regular reviews.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Oversee the creation, approval, and tracking of purchase orders, requisitions, and contracts to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
    • Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies, import/export laws, customs, tariffs, and audit-ready documentation.
    • Prepare strategic purchasing reports, cost analysis, and market insights to inform executive decision-making.
  • Qualifications & Skills
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or related field.
    • 7+ years of progressive procurement/purchasing experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
    • Proven track record of success in international sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle).
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
