We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our team as a Venture Capital Investment Analyst. This role offers hands-on experience in early-stage investing, startup evaluation, portfolio company management and ecosystem engagement.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the founder and partner, gaining insights into deal sourcing, deal evaluation, due diligence, portfolio management, and investor relations. You will be responsible for conducting market size analysis, evaluating products/services, assessing teams, business models, and financials, identifying risk factors, and analyzing competitive landscapes and funding histories.

  • Deal Evaluation: Conduct market size analysis, evaluate products/services including technology moats (Intellectual Property/Patents), assess teams, business models, and financials, identify risk factors, and analyze competitive landscapes and funding histories. Prepare detailed investment notes on potential opportunities.
  • Due Diligence: Support the investment team in commercial due diligence, financial due diligence, and legal due diligence and Coordinate with professional firms to oversee their diligence findings.
  • Deal Sourcing: Assist in sourcing opportunities from founder networks, investment bankers, and startup ecosystems. Screen startups, review pitch decks, and conduct preliminary assessments based on deal evaluation metrics.
  • Portfolio Support: Engage with portfolio companies and assist in preparation of updates on the companies, assist founders with research and go-to-market strategies.
  • Ecosystem Engagement: Attend startup events, demo days, and network with founders, accelerators, and fellow investors.
  • Internal Reports & Documentation: Assist in preparing compliance documentation and internal records.
  • Investor Relations: Assist in making presentations for Limited Partners (LPs) as well as investor updates.
What We're Looking For

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • NISM Series XIX-D exam is mandatory.
  • Passion for startups, venture capital, and innovation.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess market trends and business models.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Background in business, finance, economics, engineering, or related fields preferred (though not mandatory).
  • Prior experience in startups, consulting, investment banking, or finance is a plus.
  • An insatiable hunger to learn.
