Senior Service Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting services to our staff.

In this role, you will work closely with our IT leadership and other technical staff to develop and implement departmental guidelines and operating procedures. You will also act as a subject matter expert on multiple support product lines and assist in the development of training programs for other technicians.

To succeed in this position, you must have a strong working knowledge of accounting applications, including CCH Engagement, Thomson GoSystem Tax, XCM, TaxCaddy, and SurePrep. Experience supporting end-users in a Microsoft environment is also required. Additionally, you must possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting services to staff members
  • Develop and implement departmental guidelines and operating procedures
  • Act as a subject matter expert on multiple support product lines
  • Assist in the development of training programs for other technicians
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a related support service field
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting applications
  • Experience supporting end-users in a Microsoft environment
  • Associate degree in an IT-related field or combination of education and technical training
  • Windows 10/11, CompTIA A+, or CompTIA Network+ certification
  • Experience troubleshooting computer and mobile device hardware
