Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Storage Engineer to join our team.

  • Deploy, configure, and upgrade NetApp AFF, FAS, and E-Series storage systems to ensure seamless data storage and retrieval.

  • Implement NetApp ONTAP (Data ONTAP/SANtricity) in high-availability environments to guarantee business continuity.

  • Integrate storage solutions using SAN/NAS protocols: iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS, CIFS/SMB to provide flexibility and scalability.

  • Collaborate with pre-sales engineers and clients to design tailored storage architectures that meet their unique needs.

  • Perform physical hardware installation (rack & stack), site audits, and system handovers to ensure smooth transition and minimal downtime.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues, escalate to NetApp Support when necessary to resolve problems efficiently.

  • Create comprehensive diagrams, configuration notes, and installation documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and process improvement.

  • Follow best practices and standards for NetApp deployments to maintain high levels of quality and reliability.

  • Apply data protection strategies including LUN provisioning, SnapMirror, and snapshots to safeguard business-critical data.

  • Coordinate with project managers to meet deadlines and service level agreements to ensure timely delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 4+ years of hands-on NetApp storage installation experience is required to ensure expertise in the field.

  • Proficiency in ONTAP CLI and System Manager is essential for efficient troubleshooting and problem-solving.

  • Solid understanding of network infrastructure: Ethernet, Fibre Channel, Cisco, Brocade is necessary for designing and implementing effective storage solutions.

  • Experience with NetApp tools: Active IQ, AutoSupport, Unified Manager, Config Advisor is beneficial for streamlining processes and improving productivity.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for collaborating effectively with stakeholders and clients.

  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required is an important aspect of this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience is preferred.
