Storage Solutions Manager

We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee the management and optimization of our storage infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of storage technologies and be responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of our data storage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage storage solutions across the organization.
  • Monitor and optimize storage performance, capacity, and availability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate storage solutions with other IT systems.
  • Develop and enforce storage policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Manage backup and disaster recovery processes for critical data.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging storage technologies.
  • Provide training and support to junior team members on storage technologies.

Technical Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing SAN (Storage Area Network), NAS (Network Attached Storage), and DAS (Direct Attached Storage) systems.
  • Expertise in different storage protocols (iSCSI, FC, NFS, CIFS/SMB).
  • Experience with storage virtualization technologies.
  • Proficient in data replication, backup, and recovery solutions.
  • Knowledge of data deduplication, compression, and archiving techniques.
  • Understanding of data lifecycle management and tiered storage.
  • Experience with storage arrays from vendors like Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, IBM, and Hitachi.
  • Familiarity with storage management software and tools.

Analytical and Leadership Skills:

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex storage-related issues.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in relevant field.
  • Proven experience as a Storage Lead or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of storage architectures, protocols, and technologies.
  • Experience with backup and recovery solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
