Job Description

This role involves designing, planning, and supporting the configuration of logical and physical storage area network (SAN) layouts. You will work closely with other infrastructure teams to implement solutions and resolve complex issues independently.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience on enterprise block storage management, including hands-on experience with various storage systems such as EMC, Pure, HPE/Cisco, and Brocade.

  • Design and configure SAN layouts to meet business needs
  • Analyze performance and capacity requests to develop effective solutions
  • Recommend and oversee projects to expand, change, or improve systems and related infrastructure
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • In-depth knowledge of fiber channel and IP network concepts, including VLAN, trunking, LACP, IP addressing, and routing
  • Understanding of VMware infrastructure, specifically datastore provisioning and configuration
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Cloud Insights
  • Procedures to ensure consistent storage provisioning, uptime, regulatory compliance, and data protection
