Lead Data Scientist

We are seeking a seasoned data scientist to lead our team in developing cutting-edge technology.

This role involves collaborating with researchers, developers, architects, and IT professionals to design, build, and maintain applications in multiple environments.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and build process automation for HERE Core Map processes using Big Data infrastructure and machine learning.
  • Develop analytic and statistical models to improve internal data-driven processes and system control needs.
  • Act as an expert and evangelist in data mining, machine learning, statistics, and predictive analysis and modeling.
  • Lead predictive modeling or application teams on Core Map projects.

Requirements:

  • Masters or PhD in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or Econometrics with emphasis on computational statistics/science/engineering, data mining, machine learning, and optimization.
  • 7+ years related professional experience.
  • Data mining and analytic methods knowledge including regression, classifiers, clustering, association rules, decision trees, Bayesian network analysis.
  • Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Point Cloud Processing algorithms knowledge.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis packages and scripting languages such as Python, R, Matlab, SAS.
  • Programming experience with SQL, shell script, Python.
  • Hadoop and/or Spark experience for working with big data.
  • Effective interaction with customer executives, technical and non-technical, to explain uses and value of predictive systems and techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Development experience with Scala, Docker, GIS data, NoSQL (DynamoDB).
