Leadership Role in Electric Vehicle R&D

This is a high-profile leadership position in our Research and Development department, overseeing the development of electric two-wheelers from concept to production.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of electric two-wheelers, incorporating innovation in design, technology, and performance.
  • Build and manage platforms for product User Interface/User Experience.
  • Oversee testing and validation processes to ensure products meet industry standards.
  • Maintain research and development resources and costs.
  • Plan capital expenditures for R&D facilities aligned with business objectives.
  • Pursue partnerships to support research and innovation projects.
  • Develop and implement robust R&D processes, including standards and systems.
  • Deploy the latest advancements in electric vehicle technology and industry trends.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and mentor a highly skilled R&D team.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages idea sharing and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Provide technical guidance to the team and resolve complex engineering challenges.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrate expertise in at least three out of six key areas: Battery Technology, Electric Powertrains, Vehicle Dynamics, Software and Control Systems, Testing and Validation, Simulation and Modeling.
  • Develop strong working relationships with Sales & Marketing to improve technology.
  • Understand commercial outcomes and market intelligence.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of electric vehicle components, including batteries, electric motors, power electronics, and charging systems. Familiarity with different types of electric 2-wheelers (e.g., motorcycles, scooters) and their unique technical requirements is essential.
