
Head of Business Development

This role requires an in-depth understanding of the Indian Vertical Transportation market, promoting our local VT profile and generating sales through business development.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a deep comprehension of the customer, competitor, authority, and regulation VT landscape in India.
- Provide market insights for updating and fine-tuning our VT strategy for India.
- Create a business development plan to implement growth plans and meet agreed sales targets.
- Promote us as a leading VT authority in India.
- Identify and create sales leads through networking, industry observation, and effective sales channels.
- Manage customer relationships, understand their structure, needs, and constraints.
- Scale the business by expanding the customer base and retaining existing customers.
- Prepare sales presentations and materials in collaboration with our team.
- Coordinate with global VT experts for joint customer presentations and visits.
- Collaborate with other departments and monitor upcoming events to prepare and coordinate participation.
- Ensure smooth operations in accordance with our Quality Management System and customer satisfaction.
- Assume P&L responsibility for our VT activities in India.
- Prepare regular progress reports.
- Plan and manage resources, including recruitment, development, and leadership of VT experts.
- Ensure VT experts receive necessary training and adhere to their personal development plans.
- Manage authorization levels in accordance with our Quality Management System.
- Integrative personality with strong leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a go-to-market attitude.
- Drive for shaping business development and sales activities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in relevant local languages and English (B2 level minimum).
- Good presentation skills.

- MS office software skills.
- Mobility, flexibility, and willingness for regional business trips.
- Team player.
- Basic knowledge of lift technology and industry.
- Familiarity with inspections and certifications of VT, with further training provided upon joining.
- Bachelor Engineering degree (electrical, mechanical).
- Master degree beneficial, particularly a business-oriented one (MBA).
