Job Description

Seeking an accomplished Financial Strategist with 8+ years of post-qualification experience to lead the finance function at a NBFC.

The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise in finance with strong leadership, stakeholder management, and a strategic mindset to partner closely with the CEO, Board, investors, and regulators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Financial Strategy: Define and align the company's financial strategy with business growth goals.
  • Lead Annual Budgeting and Forecasting: Oversee annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Provide Financial Insights: Offer expert financial advice to the CEO/Board to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee Accounting and Audits: Manage accounting, audits, taxation, and statutory reporting.
  • Enhance Internal Controls: Strengthen internal controls and ensure robust MIS and financial governance.
  • Implement Efficient Systems: Implement efficient systems for cash-flow, cost management, and profitability tracking.
  • Manage Liquidity and Treasury: Oversee liquidity, treasury operations, and working capital.
  • Support Fundraising Initiatives: Assist in fundraising efforts (debt, equity, co-lending, securitization).
  • Ensure Optimal Capital Utilization: Ensure optimal capital utilization and healthy balance sheet management.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure full compliance with RBI and other NBFC regulatory requirements.
  • Drive Risk Management Frameworks: Develop and implement strong risk management frameworks covering credit, operational, and financial risks.
  • Lead Audits and Observations: Lead internal and external audits with timely closure of observations.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with banks, rating agencies, auditors, and regulators.
  • Present Financial Performance: Present accurate, timely financial performance to the Board and investors.
  • Support Investor Relations: Support investor relations and due diligence for fundraises.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8+ years of relevant finance experience.
  • Strong background in NBFC/BFSI sector with exposure to MSME lending preferred.
  • Proven expertise in financial planning, compliance, treasury, and risk management.
  • Experience in debt/equity fundraising and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to lead teams and establish high standards of financial governance.
