Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our in-house legal wills and trusts offering. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in estate planning, inheritance tax mitigation, and long-term wealth structuring for high-net-worth clients.

This is a strategic leadership role within an ambitious and growing firm that specializes in multidisciplinary financial services. As part of our growth strategy, we are bringing wills and trusts planning drafting and preparation in-house.

The successful candidate will work closely with our financial advisers and tax specialists to design and implement effective estate planning solutions for our clients. They will be responsible for leading the development of our in-house legal wills and trusts offering, drafting complex wills, discretionary and lifetime trusts, deeds of variation, and powers of attorney.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of our in-house legal wills and trusts offering
  • Draft complex wills, discretionary and lifetime trusts, deeds of variation, and powers of attorney
  • Provide technical guidance and support to financial advisers and clients
  • Oversee compliance and risk management for legal outputs
  • Build and manage a small, high-performing team as the service expands
  • Maintain the highest standards of client care and confidentiality

Requirements:

  • Full TEP Practitioner
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in wills, trusts, and estate planning
  • Proven ability to handle complex HNW/UHNW client cases
  • Strong understanding of IHT, CGT, and trust taxation issues
  • Commercially minded, collaborative, and able to operate with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working within a financial services environment
