Job Overview:

  • We are seeking an experienced procurement specialist to develop strategic sourcing plans for shoe adhesives and raw materials.
  • The successful candidate will identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with our production, R&D, and quality control teams is crucial to align procurement with operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Closely track inventory levels and lead time to ensure continuous supply without overstocking.
  2. The selected candidate will conduct market research to stay updated on raw material trends, pricing, and availability.
  3. Able to handle import documentation and coordinate with logistics and customs agents when necessary.
  4. Ensuring cost optimization without compromising quality through effective vendor development and alternate sourcing strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement/purchase in the chemical or adhesive industry, especially related to footwear adhesives.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of international sourcing, import regulations, and commercial documentation is an added advantage.
