Design Manager HVAC Role

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of ASHRAE/ISHRAE standards to design efficient HVAC systems for high-rise projects
  • Conduct comprehensive HVAC design and calculation of heating and cooling needs
  • Design and propose new products, technologies, and design improvements to enhance performance
  • Evaluate and recommend techno-commercial options that meet project requirements
  • Develop energy-saving and environment-friendly design proposals that minimize ecological impact
  • Calculate ventilation requirements to ensure optimal indoor air quality
  • Establish budgetary costs and detailed estimates for project feasibility analysis
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to design effective heating and cooling systems
  • Study architectural and structural drawings to inform design decisions
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers on quality drawing preparation
  • Monitor progress and quality of drawings in Revit and CAD
  • Prepare documents for sanction purposes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop concept designs based on final architectural drawings
  • Create detail designs as per approved concepts and schemes
  • Check and submit drawings for review and approval
  • Prepare BOQ, estimate, technical specification, and approved make documentation
  • Produce tender drawings, specifications, BOM, and other necessary documents for floating tenders
  • Evaluate technical tenders and vendor ratings/recommendations
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections at construction sites
  • Review LEED/IGBC certification requirements
  • Maintain accurate design materials and drawings documentation
  • Perform handing-over inspections to ensure project completion meets standards
