Job Title: HVAC Engineering Manager

This position is responsible for leading and managing a team of mechanical HVAC design engineers and designers. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, project management skills, and strong leadership abilities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
HVAC System Design & Development
  • Oversee the design and development of HVAC systems for various projects, ensuring energy efficiency, regulatory compliance, and adherence to industry standards.
  • Conduct load calculations, duct design, equipment selection, and system integration for heating, cooling, ventilation, and air quality systems.
  • Review and approve HVAC design drawings, specifications, and calculations produced by the team.
Project Management & Execution
  • Manage multiple HVAC design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring team members meet all milestones and deliverables.
Client & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding HVAC design and technical issues.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and requirements, translating them into effective HVAC solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in HVAC design engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Technical expertise in HVAC systems, including load calculations, duct design, system selection, and integration.
  • Project management skills, including budget management, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
