The Role

As a key member of our team, you'll oversee cross-functional teams across peer review, content writing, and video production to ensure efficient delivery of high-volume scientific publications.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the manuscript publication process to ensure timeliness, quality, and adherence to journal standards.
  • Oversee the complete manuscript workflow from peer review to publication.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase throughput and reduce publication timelines.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to optimize workflows, enhance productivity, and improve the author experience.
  • Define departmental goals; monitor performance and ensure accountability.
  • Ensure scientific rigor and editorial excellence are maintained across all published content.
Requirements
  • A Master's or Ph.D. in life sciences.
  • 10+ years of experience in academic, scientific publishing, or edtech content production, specializing in managing publication workflows.
  • 7+ years of proven management experience.
  • Strong understanding of peer review, open access trends, and evolving scientific publishing models.
  • Experience with digital publishing technologies and workflow automation tools.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating technology to improve publishing workflows, quality, and efficiency.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with strong communication skills.
