Operations Manager Job Description

The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the end-to-end operations of various units, ensuring seamless execution and optimal performance.

  • Responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring daily production to meet delivery and quality targets.
  • Drives process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime, thereby enhancing overall productivity.
  • Safeguards compliance with quality standards and customer specifications, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Masters operational costs, minimizes wastage, and optimizes resource utilization, promoting financial prudence.
  • Leverages leadership, team-handling, and problem-solving skills to motivate and guide shop-floor teams towards enhanced performance and productivity.
  • Collaborates with maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams for streamlined workflow, eliminating bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Ensures strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations, safeguarding the well-being of employees and the environment.

Requirements for this position include 5+ years of experience in Wire Drawing, Pickling & Patenting processes, accompanied by strong knowledge of Wire Drawing, Pickling & Patenting operations and proven leadership, team-handling, and problem-solving skills. Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and driving process improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
