Job Description

The Group Chief Financial Officer is a key member of the leadership team responsible for driving strategic financial growth and performance. This role oversees all aspects of financial planning, strategy, and operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Advise senior management on financial planning, capital allocation, and risk management.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, industry trends, and economic conditions.
Accounting Operations
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Establish and maintain robust financial controls and accounting systems.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and accounting standards.
Fundraising and Investor Relations
  • Lead fundraising efforts to achieve group targets.
  • Manage existing investor relations and lead teams to onboard new equity and debt investors.
  • Represent the company in news, media, and investor calls.
Banking and Treasury Management
  • Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and loan negotiations.
  • Optimize working capital and cash flow management.
  • Ensure effective treasury operations, hedging strategies, and liquidity planning.
Audit and Compliance
  • Lead statutory, internal, and tax audits.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors for process improvements.
  • Establish and monitor internal control frameworks to safeguard assets.
Taxation and Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of direct and indirect taxes.
  • Optimize tax strategies to minimize liabilities.
  • Keep abreast of changing tax laws and regulatory requirements.
Investments and Capital Management
  • Evaluate investment opportunities for ROI and strategic alignment.
  • Manage portfolio investments, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Develop long-term capital and funding strategies.
Team Leadership and Development
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing finance teams.
