Senior Reservations Manager

Job Summary:
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is a world-renowned hospitality group, and we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Reservations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Reservations department, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of reservations, ensuring exceptional service standards are met, and maximizing revenue through effective room product and hotel services knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service to guests.
- Support the Reservations Manager in leading and managing all aspects of the Reservations department.
- Manage and coordinate all group and individual reservations, ensuring seamless execution and excellent guest satisfaction.
- Maintain close liaison with the Sales, Conference, and Accounting teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Produce daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as required, providing valuable insights and data-driven recommendations.
- Attend pre-convention meetings and revenue management meetings as required, staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
- Maximize revenues by ensuring all Reservation Agents are knowledgeable in room product and hotel services, driving sales and revenue growth.
- Conduct regularly scheduled departmental meetings, fostering a culture of open communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure effective productivity of all Colleagues through staff scheduling and adhering to budget guidelines, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Balance operational, administrative, and Colleague needs, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Follow department policies, procedures, and service standards, maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
- Follow all safety policies, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all Colleagues and guests.
- Other duties as assigned by the Reservations Manager or other senior management.
Qualifications:
- Previous leadership experience in a similar role required, with a proven track record of success and achievement.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications, with expertise in reservation systems and software.
- University/College degree in a related discipline preferred, with a strong foundation in hospitality, business, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Highly responsible and reliable, with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
- Strong communication skills in English language, with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration, mutual respect, and open communication.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times, and providing exceptional customer service.
