Ignition SCADA Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Ignition SCADA engineer to lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SCADA and MES applications across manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership skills and experience with Ignition SCADA, Inductive Automation, and related technologies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead design configuration and deployment of Ignition SCADA and MES applications
  • Architect and implement real-time data acquisition, visualization, and reporting solutions
  • Ensure seamless integration of OT systems, PLCs, SCADAs, and MES with enterprise IT systems, ERP databases, and cloud platforms
  • Develop and maintain secure, efficient data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols
  • Manage industrial databases, SQL historian, timeseries databases for high availability and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs
  • Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives, such as Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, and predictive analytics
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and support existing SCADA/MES deployments to ensure minimal downtime
  • Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team

The ideal candidate will have at least 3-10 years of experience in SCADA/MES engineering within the manufacturing industry, with proven expertise in Ignition SCADA, Inductive Automation, scripting module configuration, and project deployment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong background in MES functions, production tracking, OEE, downtime analysis, traceability, SPC, etc.
  • Proficiency with database technologies, such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with OT/IT integration technologies, REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA
