Power Electronics Control Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Control Design Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing control algorithms and digital implementations for power conversion designs. This includes bi-direction AC/DC/AC converters, 3 Ph automotive drives, and AC/DC Power supplies.

  • Developing control algorithms and digital implementations for power conversion designs.
  • Modeling power electronics circuits in MATLAB/SIMPLIS and developing advanced algorithms for state-of-the-art power conversion topologies.
  • Designing requirements include supervisory controls/communications, PWM techniques, nonlinear/adaptable feedback for improved stability, failure prediction, frequency modulation for EMI control, efficiency tuning for PFC standby/housekeeping supplies, and DC/DC conversion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control Algorithm Development: Develop and implement control algorithms for power conversion designs.
  • Digital Implementation: Implement digital control systems using microcontrollers/DSPs.
  • Powerelectronics Circuit Modeling: Model power electronics circuits in MATLAB/SIMPLIS and develop advanced algorithms for power conversion topologies.
  • System Integration: Integrate designed control systems with power electronics components.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field.
  • Expertise in control algorithm development and digital implementation.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/SIMULINK and other relevant tools.
  • Strong understanding of power electronics principles and circuit analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A master's degree from a prestigious institute in power electronics or related fields.
  • Experience in automotive or industrial power electronics applications.
