Product Development Leadership Role

The ideal candidate will spearhead and oversee the engineering team responsible for power converter development.

  • They will be accountable for managing the entire product lifecycle: architecture, simulation, design, prototyping, verification, and validation.
  • They will guide the specification, modeling, and design of complex power electronics systems, ensuring adherence to best practices, project timelines, and quality standards.
  • Key responsibilities include leading PCB layout and mechanical design collaboration, ensuring design integrity and manufacturability.
  • They will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with third-party design vendors and test infrastructure partners.
  • Additionally, they will define and implement a technology roadmap aligned with the company's R&D and market growth goals.
  • Leadership roles require driving recruitment and talent development, building a high-performing, technically excellent team.
  • Responsibilities also include developing and maintaining technical documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and test plans.
  • They will work cross-functionally with product management, supply chain, and manufacturing for seamless product launches.
Required Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics engineering is required (BSEE or equivalent).
  • A master's or PhD in power electronics is considered a strong advantage.
  • At least 15 years of experience in power electronics R&D, with 7+ years in a leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of power semiconductor devices, including thyristors, Si-IGBTs, and SiC-MOSFETs.
  • Expertise in gate driver design, bridge rectifier design, and multi-level converter topologies is essential.
  • Proven ability to design and optimize converters to reduce harmonics and improve efficiency is necessary.
  • Experience in EMI/EMC mitigation, thermal management, and high-voltage isolation is highly valued.
  • Hands-on experience in hardware debugging, test bench setups, and system validation is required.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional communication skills are critical.
