Disaster Response Project Manager for Ground Zero

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Disaster Response Project Manager to lead and manage disaster response initiatives, ensuring effective coordination, communication, and partnership development.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the disaster relief response team, providing guidance, support, and direction to achieve project goals. They will monitor project progress, make necessary adjustments to timelines, resources, and strategies as needed, and ensure team members have access to necessary support, resources, and training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the disaster relief response team, providing guidance, support, and direction to achieve project goals.
- NGO Engagement and Partnership Development: Engage with NGOs to understand their preferences and requirements for receiving information and support during disaster response efforts.
- Communication and Advocacy: Serve as the primary spokesperson for the project, representing the organization to the media, donors, and the public.
- Project Management and Implementation: Oversee the integration of API systems to automate communication processes with NGOs during disaster times.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor the implementation of relief activities to assess progress, impact, and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in disaster management, humanitarian aid, public health, or related field.
- Experience: Total of 8-10 years of experience in project management with a minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in disaster relief management, emergency response, or a closely related field.
- Skills: Strong leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proven experience in partnership development, advocacy, and project management.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in a wide range of technical skills, including advanced use of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, for data processing and management tasks, experienced in utilizing project management tools such as Trello, Zoho, Salesforce, among others.
