About Disaster Response and Relief

Ground Zero, an ecosystem of 10 million donors, NGOs, and corporates across India, aims to end hunger since 2016. Our Personalized Disaster Response (PDR) project focuses on executing CSR programs throughout the current fiscal year.

We collaborate with groups specializing in disaster response for our PDR initiative under CSR. Understanding the role of disaster response in sustainable development is crucial. It should be merged into broader programs or used as part of a whole. Instead of confining ourselves to one CSR project, we aim to make disaster response our mission.

Project Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Process receiving NGO requests through various platforms
  • NGO Verification and Selection: Vetting eligible NGOs, KYC & due diligence, telephonic verification, and receiving detail disaster information
  • Confirmation email to selected NGOs after corporate budget allocation
  • Orientation: Setting up an orientation call with selected NGOs for demonstration of distribution activity, banner placement, size, photograph taking, reporting format, and timeline, expectation of delivery in execution
  • Frequent communication and coordination with NGOs for executing the project- Product delivery, PRL receive, Distribution timeline, short reporting, and updates
  • Responsible for holding feedback calls for all involved NGOs in the Disaster Project
  • Work with internal teams to prepare impact reports and documentation

Project Coordinator Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent project management skills including prioritization, scheduling, and documentation
  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong grasp of current communication, project tracking, and budget management technologies
  • Excellent meeting, workshop, and conference facilitation skills with proven knowledge of fostering attendee participation and collaboration in small and large groups
  • Knowledge and experience in different project management frameworks, including disaster response
  • Solid technical understanding and ability to define and refine requirements through a project lifecycle
  • Employs strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, and apply new technologies
  • Willingly mentors more junior team members and shares knowledge
  • Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced work environment

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, business management, or related area of study
  • 2 years of experience as a Project Coordinator or similar position responsible for defining and managing project scope, timelines, profitability, and effective delivery of products or services
  • Experience in managing external and internal facing project deliverables
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with industry-standard word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software programs
