The role of a Senior Plant & Machinery Specialist involves working in a fast-paced environment with high rise towers. It requires expertise in plant and machinery, specifically in the erection, dismantling, maintenance, and operation of cranes, hoists, and booms.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Erecting and maintaining luffing jib tower cranes, passenger hoists, placer booms, and other equipment.
  • Developing methodologies for equipment erection, operation, and preparation of checklists.
  • Controlling spare parts inventory and optimizing costs through sourcing and procurement strategies.
  • Generating management information systems (MIS) reports for mechanical heads at headquarters or project in-charges.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining site records of equipment, including logbooks, preventive maintenance records, and upkeep schedules.
  • Creating budget estimates for monthly spares and running expenses for each machine and monitoring them on a regular basis.
  • Providing training to personnel, workers, and operators on safe equipment usage and maintenance procedures.
  • Ensuring optimum use of plant and machinery corresponding to their rated productivity output.

Requirements for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong leadership skills and minimum 10 years of experience in plant and machinery operations.
