Finance Analyst Job Description

 

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a skilled Finance Analyst to support our Finance Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function in providing comprehensive and timely reporting.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of monthly management reports and schedules, and providing insights and summaries to assist decision-making and planning processes.
  • Large data collection, data hygiene/clean-up, mapping, and presentation in the form of Excel templates/schedules and PowerPoint.
  • Scrutinizing actual financial data for general ledger (GL), cost centre (CC), and fund usage, spotting any irregularities and making necessary corrections.
  • Supporting annual budgeting process and quarterly projections, as well as reporting on KPIs (including updating budget templates).
  • Updating budgets in SAP, monitoring variances, and addressing queries related to budgets.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc accounting and reporting needs of the finance department as they arise, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to evolving financial demands.
  • Partnering and collaborating with finance and other stakeholders daily, fostering effective communication.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and effectiveness in reporting and analysis.
  • Communicating findings and insights to stakeholders through presentations and written reports.

 

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
