Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished professional to drive our business development efforts in India. This role involves leveraging established networks and personal connections to structure and close financial transactions for our energy transition projects.

The successful candidate will oversee a diverse portfolio of projects, encompassing business development, origination, new market initiatives, and project management. They will effectively coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including clients, consultants, key industry players, and regulatory bodies.

Key responsibilities include supervising client deliverables, preparing research and write-ups, leading transaction management, conducting due diligence, and reviewing financial models.

  • Develop and Structure Financial Transactions: Leverage CSV's established network and personal local financial connections to develop, structure, and close financial transactions for CSV's current and upcoming energy transition projects in India.
  • Oversee Project Portfolio: Collaborate closely with the leadership to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects, encompassing business development, origination, new market initiatives, and project management.
  • Coordinate Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively coordinate with multiple stakeholders (including clients, other consultants, key industry players, and regulatory bodies).
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess exceptional communication skills and strong connections within the Indian power and/or finance community. A deep understanding of India's electricity, capital, and financial markets is essential.

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in deal closure, particularly in debt and/or equity financing in India, including project finance, private debt, loan syndication, and structured finance.

Prior experience in country team management or a supervisory role is preferred, along with high professionalism, reliability, and proficiency in financial modeling.

  • Climate and Energy Transition Expertise: Minimum 8-10 years of experience in climate, energy transition, finance, and business development.
  • Strong Communication and Networking Skills: Exceptional communication skills and strong connections within the Indian power and/or finance community.
  • Financial Modeling and Deal Closure: Proven track record in deal closure, particularly in debt and/or equity financing in India, including project finance, private debt, loan syndication, and structured finance.
