Job Overview

As a seasoned Merchandise Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic development of our Buying and Merchandising division.

  • You will be responsible for sourcing high-quality merchandise at optimal costs, while ensuring product lines meet customer expectations.
  • Work closely with vendors to negotiate agreements that balance quality, cost, and supplier relationships.
  • Collaborate with designers on style development, research trips, fabric selection, and best-selling products.
  • Partner with the merchandising team to optimize stock management, style options, quantities, promotions, and markdowns.
  • Monitor competitors' activities through market research to stay ahead of trends, forecasting, color schemes, and fabric types.
  • Develop and implement promotional plans, review season plans, and weekly goals.
  • Identify and develop new vendor relationships to expand our sourcing channels.
  • Evaluate vendor delivery performance and establish quality standards for merchandise.
  • Reconcile store plans and adjust departmental financial plans as needed.
