Senior Counselling Associate - Undergraduate Applications

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Counselling Associate to join our team. As a key member of our counselling team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality support to students and their families throughout the undergraduate application process.

Your primary responsibility will be to serve as the main point of contact for students and parents, offering personalized guidance on academics, extracurricular activities, and application milestones.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and oversee structured mentorship schedules with external mentors, ensuring students receive consistent support.
  • Conduct one-on-one profile evaluations, advising students on academics, extracurriculars, summer schools, internships, and overall profile building.
  • Coach students through standardized test preparation (SAT/ACT, APs, IELTS/TOEFL, etc.) and guide them on subject or curriculum equivalencies (IB, A-Levels, CBSE, ISC, etc.).
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and refining application essays, personal statements, activity lists, résumés, and recommendation letters.
  • Conduct mock interviews aligned with admissions standards of universities in the U.S., U.K., and Canada.
  • Coordinate weekly student-mentor sessions via Zoom/Google Meet and maintain an updated database of student progress.
  • Prepare detailed progress notes, ensuring applications stay on track with internal and university deadlines.
  • Research relevant undergraduate scholarships, financial aid, and merit-based opportunities, and assist students with applications (CSS Profile, FAFSA, UCAS bursaries, etc.).
  • Help students and families evaluate admission offers by clarifying financial implications, career outcomes, and long-term pathways.
  • Collaborate with internal faculty, mentors, and external partners to provide holistic and timely support.
