We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Process Associate to lead complex content transformation and digital publishing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in XML workflows, editorial standards, AI-powered tools, and digital accessibility compliance. This role requires coordination with cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring consistent delivery quality across clients in the academic, medical, educational, and archival domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • E-Publishing & XML Conversion Convert diverse content into structured XML using JATS, BITS, NLM standards, and ensure content integrity across formats.

  • AI & Automation Tools Leverage AI/ML tools for content tagging, metadata creation, auto-validation, and streamlining quality checks.

  • Ensure all digital outputs comply with WCAG 2.1 and Section 508 standards, enabling inclusivity and regulatory adherence.

  • Manage end-to-end copyediting, typesetting, and proofreading tasks while supervising junior associates and maintaining quality benchmarks.

  • Perform semantic tagging, classification, and metadata enrichment to boost content discoverability and SEO performance.

  • Interact with clients to understand specifications, manage timelines, and provide regular progress updates and reports.

  • Identify bottlenecks, implement workflow enhancements, and support documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Train junior staff and new joiners on tools, standards, and client-specific requirements.

  • Allocate tasks, track delivery milestones, and escalate issues as needed for on-time project completion.

  • Conduct internal audits to ensure outputs meet quality assurance standards and client expectations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Publishing, Computer Applications, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in e-publishing, content conversion, or digital content processing.

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in XML technologies (JATS, BITS, NLM).

  • Familiarity with AI tools for content management and transformation.

  • Strong command of digital accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1, Section 508).

  • Knowledge of tools like InDesign, Oxygen XML Editor, Adobe Acrobat, etc.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to handle client interactions and multiple project deadlines.

  • Leadership, mentoring, and project coordination experience is a plus.
