Job Title: Financial Services Professional

  • We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Financial Services Professional.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in M&A transactions, foreign exchange control, and domestic tax law. If you have a strong understanding of FEMA regulations, DTAAs, and stamp duty laws, we want to hear from you

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Providing expert advice on structuring deals from a tax perspective, including foreign exchange control regulations.
  2. Drafting and reviewing deal documents, such as term sheets, loan agreements, and SPAs.
  3. Handholding clients in conceptualizing deals, focusing on India entry/exit strategies, favorable holding jurisdictions, tax efficiency, and commercial rationale.
  4. Advising on possible structuring through the IFSC Gift City.
  5. Front-ending/liaising with various stakeholders, including AD Bankers.
  6. Undertaking health checks and preparing due diligence reports.

International Tax and FEMA Advisory

  • Assisting clients with international tax issues, including PE, profit attribution, business connection, expat tax, ESOPs, indirect transfer, POEM, capital repatriation, royalty, FTS, broadcasting rights, and tax transparent entities.
  • Conducting effective tax rate (ETR) planning analysis for Indian promoter-held groups with multiple entities.
  • Advising on FEMA regulations and assisting with compounding applications.
  • Supporting clients with lower withholding applications, condonation applications, assessments, appeals, and engaging with Senior Counsels.
