Associate General Manager - Design Job Description

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned leader to drive revenue growth and strategic initiatives in our dynamic design team. As an Associate General Manager - Design, you will oversee the critical growth and performance metrics of both the business and people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owning the revenue of a region and managing key business and people metrics.
  • Leading critical business initiatives such as product launches, process improvements, category expansion, and vendor development.
  • Contributing to business decisions through qualitative inputs and quantitative analysis.
  • Developing, leading, motivating, and managing a young and ambitious city team.
  • Creating a successful design experience ecosystem for internal teams and customers.
  • Driving KPIs such as successful and timely design sign-offs, snag-free designs, sales penetration, customer satisfaction, and employee satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • B.Arch or equivalent degree; MBA is an added advantage.
  • At least 6-7 years of experience in interior fit-out business, operating roles managing revenue-generating teams, or selling design products/services through designers.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to convey business requirements effectively.
  • Structured thought process, strong analytical ability, and determination to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with direct team reporting experience.
  • Deep understanding of interior fit-out industry, processes, market trends, and significant personal and professional drive to continuously improve design standards.
