Big Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Big Data Engineer with expertise in AWS Cloud Services.

  • Main Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop large-scale data processing architectures using AWS services, leveraging expertise in Big Data technologies.

  2. Built and maintained complex data pipelines for both structured and unstructured datasets utilizing Spark (Scala).

  3. Architect and operationalize data engineering platforms on AWS, with a preference for Hortonworks, Cloudera, or MapR.

  4. Implemented and managed various AWS services, including EMR, Glue, Kinesis, DynamoDB, Athena, CloudFormation, API Gateway, and S3.

  5. Developed real-time streaming solutions using Kafka and AWS Kinesis.

  6. Supported the deployment, scheduling, and monitoring of machine learning models on AWS.

  7. Analyzed source system data to ensure high-quality, reliable data delivery for business needs.

  8. Designed and implemented efficient SQL queries to support data warehouse initiatives using Apache NiFi, Airflow, and Kylo.

  9. Collaborated with cross-functional teams to provide technical leadership and strengthen the data engineering capability.

  10. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure scalability, performance, and security of data solutions.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
  • Key Requirements:

  1. Absolutely necessary hands-on experience in Big Data Technologies, including AWS, Scala, Hadoop, and Spark.

  2. Demonstrable expertise in Spark with Scala programming language.

  3. Practical experience with multiple AWS services, such as EMR, Glue, Lambda, S3, CloudFormation, API Gateway, Athena, and Lake Formation.
