Cloud Infrastructure Optimization Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Optimization Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure, scripting/programming, monitoring, and cost optimization with a passion for improving reliability and efficiency.

This role requires strong technical skills and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and collaboration abilities. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively across multiple teams and contribute to the development of best practices in cloud operations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the go-to expert for monitoring and optimizing cloud infrastructure costs across AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Closely track daily/weekly usage, spending patterns, and billing reports, and highlight anomalies
  • Develop and maintain scripts/automation (Python, Bash, or similar) for cost reporting, resource clean-up, and efficiency improvements
  • Work with engineering and product teams to right-size compute, storage, and database resources
  • Identify and implement reserved instances, savings plans, auto-scaling policies, and storage lifecycle policies to reduce spend
  • Leverage native tools like AWS Cost Explorer, CloudWatch, GCP Billing, as well as third-party monitoring platforms
  • Contribute to SRE/DevOps practices by monitoring infrastructure reliability while balancing costs

Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP services (EC2, S3, IAM, GKE, BigQuery, etc.)
  • Experience in cloud cost monitoring & optimization
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Bash, Shell, etc.)
  • Understanding of SRE concepts: reliability, scalability, monitoring, and automation
  • Prior experience in cost analysis and optimization for enterprise workloads
