Job Title: Operations Excellence Manager

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Leader with 4 to 8 years of experience in Operational Excellence. They will be responsible for driving the implementation of the site Operational Plan, leading change management processes, and coordinating departments to work together in Operational Improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive the implementation of the site Operational Plan
  • Set objectives and priorities and lead change management processes for the department
  • Maintain alignment between all parts of the site's supply chain by coordinating all departments to work together in Operational Improvement
  • Lead and support all departments in implementing Lean Practices to meet their business plans
  • Coach managers to develop teams at all levels to produce performance results through Operational Excellence Principles

People Management:

  • Demonstrate managerial leadership to develop team against role capabilities
  • Ensure effective implementation of Training & Development Programmes by aligning site /line management
  • Coordinate TOT and Evaluation Programmes to maintain consistency of approach and ensure alignment with Capability Building Initiative

Focused Improvement:

  • Provide expert Loss Reduction and Waste Elimination coaching to operational teams
  • Participate in and lead as required improvement projects using the PDCA Methodology
  • Develop specific manufacturing performance improvement initiatives to optimize cost, eliminate waste and improve operational flexibility
  • Engage with the Daily Operational Review meetings to provide expert analysis of performance improvement opportunities
  • Practice Maturity Assessments - Develop & implement a Performance Improvement Strategy for site and conduct regular assessments

Team Meetings & Communications:

  • Implement weekly/monthly/quarterly communications to drive the engagement and momentum of the Operational Excellence Journey
  • Support the Task Forces and Shift Based teams in their deployment of Operational Excellence through their regular meetings and their communication of activities
  • Define and establish the site leadership team's schedule to support and lead the deployment of Operational Excellence
