Job Description

We are seeking a Category Director to lead our Footwear category by developing a competitive and customer-relevant assortment aligned with market trends.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the footwear industry, including market pricing, offers, and assortment strategies. They will be responsible for planning product launches ahead of seasons, collaborating with the planning team to create assortments that balance style, price, and functionality, and ensuring strict adherence to the buying calendar and pre-defined category milestones.

  • Achieve category targets by developing a competitive and customer-relevant footwear assortment.
  • Plan product launches ahead of seasons to ensure timely execution of collections aligned with footwear trends and seasonal demands.
  • Collaborate with the planning team to create assortments that balance style, price, and functionality for various consumer segments.

Responsibilities also include selecting product lines considering materials, design elements, comfort features, price points, and value propositions, finalizing the product assortment and approving commercial selling prices to ensure competitiveness and profitability.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of the footwear industry, including market pricing, offers, and assortment strategies.
  • Ability to plan product launches ahead of seasons and collaborate with the planning team to create assortments that balance style, price, and functionality.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable commercial terms without compromising product quality.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to build and motivate a high-performing team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
