Export Coordinator Job Description

The role of an Export Coordinator involves coordinating with sales teams and planning shipments based on customer requirements. This includes monitoring daily stock levels and releasing daily invoicing plans accordingly.

Additionally, the Export Coordinator is responsible for preparing pre- and post-export documents. They also coordinate with manufacturing sites for the movement of shipments, negotiate with freight forwarders for competitive freight rates, and ensure smooth shipping operations by coordinating with freight forwarders, transporters, and customs brokers.

The Export Coordinator must notify customers about shipment details and verify post-shipping documents, submitting them to banks within the stipulated timeframe. They are also responsible for handling customer queries and audit-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with sales teams and plan shipments based on customer requirements.
  • Monitor daily stock levels and release daily invoicing plans accordingly.
  • Prepare pre- and post-export documents.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing sites for the movement of shipments.
  • Negotiate with freight forwarders for competitive freight rates.
  • Ensure smooth shipping operations by coordinating with freight forwarders, transporters, and customs brokers.
  • Notify customers about shipment details.
  • Verify post-shipping documents and submit them to banks within the stipulated timeframe.
  • Handle customer queries and audit-related issues.
  • Expertise in handling both LCL and FCL shipments.
  • Familiarity with preparing documents under Letter of Credit and LC Clause.
  • Proficient in working on ERP systems such as TCS ION and SAP HANA.

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in any field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in export coordination at an executive level.
  • Excellent communication skills.
