We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounting, cost control, and inventory-related activities at our manufacturing unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Daily Accounting Entries:
  • Process daily accounting entries related to production, consumption, and inventory in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Standard Cost Calculation:
  • Calculate and evaluate standard costs; analyze and report variances on a regular basis.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Monitor raw material issuance and finished goods movement to ensure smooth operations.
  • Coordination and Communication:
  • Coordinate with store and production teams for timely data reconciliation and reporting.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare reports on wastage, rejections, and material variances to support informed business decisions.
  • Cost Control and Compliance:
  • Maintain cost records related to production and job work, ensuring compliance with internal controls and standard accounting practices.
  • Vendor and Expenses Management:
  • Handle vendor bills, plant expenses, and petty cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Inventory Verification:
  • Conduct periodic physical verification of inventory and fixed assets to ensure accuracy and minimize losses.
  • Management Reporting:
  • Prepare plant-level MIS and management reports to support strategic decision-making.Required Skills & Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or equivalent qualification.
    • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in plant/shopfloor accounting within a manufacturing setup.
    • Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory control principles.
    • Proficiency in Tally, Excel, and reporting skills.
    • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
