Traffic Modeling and Simulation Expert

 Job Overview:

  We seek an experienced Traffic Modeling and Simulation expert to join our team. As a key member of our transportation planning group, you will be responsible for developing and implementing traffic modeling and simulation techniques to support highway project development.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and apply traffic modeling and simulation tools to analyze and evaluate the impact of different scenarios on highway performance.
  • Collaborate with project planners, engineers, and financial personnel to incorporate traffic modeling information into operational and design practices.
  • Prepare and verify traffic demand forecasts, capacity studies, and traffic impact analyses in accordance with project goals.
  • Develop and assess traffic management plans that will maximize highway performance during construction and operation stages.

 Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills, especially in traffic demand forecasting and capacity analysis.
  • Experience in preparing comprehensive traffic impact studies, reports, and presentations for diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with project teams and financiers.
  • Familiarity with transportation planning software and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is preferred.
  • Professional certification in traffic or transportation engineering.

 Preferred Candidate Profile:

  The ideal candidate should have a strong background in traffic modeling and simulation, excellent communication skills, and experience working on DBFOT/PPP projects. Strong leadership skills, including mentoring junior engineers and cross-functional coordination, are also desirable.
