Job Title: SCADA System Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced SCADA system developer to lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Ignition SCADA applications in manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting and implementing real-time data acquisition, visualization, and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy Ignition SCADA applications across various manufacturing sites.
  • Develop and maintain secure data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of OT systems with enterprise IT systems.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and support existing SCADA deployments to minimize downtime.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the engineering team.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have at least 10 years of experience in SCADA engineering within the manufacturing industry. You should have proven expertise with Ignition SCADA, including scripting, module configuration, and project deployment.

Desirable Skills:

A strong background in MES functions, production tracking, OEE, downtime analysis, traceability, SPC, and industrial control systems is highly desirable. Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL is also required. Hands-on experience with OT-IT integration technologies, REST APIs, MQTT, OPC UA, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) would be advantageous.
